Imani Wilson is the sole owner and founder of the luxury shapewear brand 'Cinched by Imani'. An entrepreneur, hair stylist, & owner of Luxury Xtend Hair Co., Imani's journey began at her hair salon 'LX Hair Studio' in January of 2020 in Chester, PA.

Starting with just the latex waist trainer she was wearing, Imani started her business journey when many of her hair clients was complimenting her body shape and inquiring on where they could find a quality waist trainer like hers. With just hope and a dream, Imani began taking preorders.

Through her determination and tremendous support of women in her city, Imani's preorders sales became very successful, allowing her to fully stock her hair salon with inventory. In just a few months she expanded to offering detox teas, fat burning creams, fajas, butt lifters, and body contouring services - everything a woman needed to maintain and feel comfortable in her body.

In August of 2021, Cinched expanded to become more than just a shapewear brand. Imani wanted her brand to be more personal, to reflect more of her interest and favorite hobbies - working out and being active. She decided to offer both shapewear and activewear together. Blending quality and luxury shapewear into active apparel designed for everyday wear.

 

Imani hopes her brand can influence and extend far beyond shapewear and activewear. Within this relaunch of Cinched, Imani's main goal is to use her brand to aspire to inspire. This is not just a relaunch for her; this is a celebration for her overcoming all obstacles in her past and her resilience and determination to continue to drive forward.
